Just FYI, I have a HTC Rezound. Google Play market does not list the Jamcast app for my phone. When I used a QR code to go straight to the app, the play market says " this item isn't available in your country ". I finally had to sideload the app from your download link and had to check "Unknown sources". Bad user experience.

I am in the US.

After I sideloaded it (see above post on why) - it is actually not working. It finds my server, but when I try to tap on it, it throws exception "The application Jamcast (process com.sdstechnologies.jamcast.android) has stopped unexpectedly.

Bad user experience indeed, I'm sorry to hear that. We are working on having the app restored to the Play Market. In the meantime, I'm just curious -- direct link from the phone to Google Play market app and I don't get the "unavailable" message from 2 different phones (Verizon). You get an error from your phone with this link?

I checked the logs, it looks like the app is unable to make a connection to Jamcast Server over the internet. Could you try putting your phone on Wifi and connecting to Jamcast using the local network as a starting point? Let me know if you're able to get connected this way and we'll take it from there.

Thanks very much for the feedback!

The direct link says "This app is incompatible with all of your devices.". I have a HTC Rezound, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It is marked as incompatible in the play store for both. As a result, it is not showing up as an app I can download from the play store. Screen Shot:

About the connection problem, I have connected through wifi and that has resolved the issue over LAN. I will test over 4G again and report back. BTW - I already forwarded the port and the Jamcast server is able to test successfully.

Yes - it is working over the WAN as well.

But the play market not listing the App is still persisting.

Excellent, glad to hear the app is working well.

Regarding the Play store issue, we're in touch with Google and hope to have it resolved as quickly as possible. I confirmed yesterday that both of your devices are on that compatibility list. There is the known region-related issue, but I'm still able to see/install via direct link so a bit confused there.

Hopefully Google sorts all of it out quick, I'll keep everyone posted via forums when the issue is resolved. I appreciate your patience on this.

Thanks!

Hi Scott,

I'm having an identical problem with my HTC Incredible (3G). When I attempt to download from the Google Play website, I receive the same error regarding "this item isn't available in your country ". Also not visible on the Google Play store from my phone. Any updates on resolving this issue?

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Hope you're doing well. Smile

We're still working on this issue. In the meantime, are you able to sideload the Jamcast APK? You can download it from the Download page here, or visit http://getjamcast.com/Android from the device (easiest).

Thanks!

Indeed this is an ongoing problem. At risk of sounding lame, "we're working on it".

In the meantime, please sideload the APK via our downloads page, or visit http://getjamcast.com/Android from the Android device to download and install direct.

Thanks!
