Hi.
I'm trying to download jamcast android to a sony xperia X8 phone running adroid 2.1 but it just gives a message saying, 'the content is not supported on this phone'. I thought android 2.1 was a high enough version, is there something else that's preventing the app to load?
Thanks
GC

Hi GC,
Are you trying to download from our website, or via the Android Market?
Try using the Android Market, it may be that you cannot load the app on your phone unless it comes from Market.
Thanks!

Hi GC,
Just to be clear, you attempted to download and install from here?
FROM PHONE: market://details?id=com.sdstechnologies.jamcast.android
FROM PC:
https://market.android.c...ologies.jamcast.android
I'm going to look into that error message here while I await your response... I've not encountered that one until now.
Thanks!
Scott

Opps told you I was a complete noob
Just realised my error and atempted the PROPER market place route just before you responded. Looks like it should work that way, however it's my better halves phone and not sure she agrees with the permissions, so I'll probably be getting this same phone for myself.
Thanks once again
GC
PS. cracking bit of software

Hi GC,
You're welcome. I probably need to update the links on our Downloads page and make this a bit clearer.
The error you received is essentially your wireless provider letting you know that you cannot sideload apps -- meaning they must be downloaded from Android Market directly, and cannot be downloaded from other places like this website.
So there ya go. Enjoy!
P.S. Thanks for the kind words, I had to look up "cracking" as I've never heard that before -- was pleased to discover that it was a good thing.
