Hi Scott... I just wanted to let you know that I used the Android app for the first time on the road without having access to Wi-Fi.
When I had 3G coverage it worked and sounded great playing through our car stereo... when we only had Edge coverage it was slow to buffer and didn't work as well. The lack of 3G coverage is AT&T's fault, certainly not yours. Both my wife and I think it is a great thing to have access to our music wherever we might happen to be.
I just read a long article about Google Music, Amazon Cloud, Microsoft Zune Cloud and Best Buy Cloud. The bottom line is that we don't need any of those with your app and we can just keep our music on our own computers.
Thanks again for a great Android app to go along with the Jamcast server.
Mark

Hey Mark,
That's awesome, can't ask for better feedback than that!
Regarding the performance whilst on the Edge network, did you try adjusting the audio bitrate? If you go to Menu->Settings it's under "Audio Quality (3G)" (perhaps the description needs to be tweaked).
You can do this at any time, and it takes effect when the next track is requested, and you can adjust it as often as you like.
You might find that the 64kbps setting will work better for you when on Edge, then crank it back up when your phone jumps back onto the 3G network.
Would love your feedback on this as well!
Thanks!
Scott

I'll give that a try Scott. I did notice that it was set to 128kps when I was using it the other day so I bet the 64kps setting would help.
I'll let you know how it goes next time I end up with only Edge coverage.
